Med School Index is a free, public reference to every accredited medical school in the United States, built entirely from official public data.

What this is

An aggregation of official public records: accreditation status from the LCME and COCA, federal data from the U.S. Department of Education, and directory-level facts from Wikidata and the schools themselves. Each field carries a source and a date. The goal is a complete, accurate, machine-readable reference that a prospective student or a research tool can trust.

What this is not

This is not an admissions consultancy, a ranking, or a source of medical advice. We do not claim clinical or admissions credentials, and no byline here should be read as expert medical guidance. The value we offer is careful sourcing and completeness, not authority we do not have. For decisions, consult each school, its accreditor, and qualified advisors.

How it is funded

The site is reader-supported through clearly labeled affiliate links to test-prep and admissions-consulting services, and may carry labeled sponsor placements. None of these ever affect which schools are listed, their order, or how their data is presented. See thedisclosure for details.
